Lucas Tukus Reflects on 2007

So much has happened in 2007 for this guy. Three different owners, a new sister, loss of reproductive rights, two tree-climbing adventures, three destroyed feather toys, and numerous inflected flesh wounds on the owner. It's been good.

Lately I've taken to hiding beneath the bed skirts, waiting for my feather toy to come within range so I can pounce on it. I used to actually chase the silly twirling toy around, but that grew tiresome, so now I wait for it to come to me. Once it does I leap out like a muskie on a line.

Sometimes I like to do my Tarzan imitation, where I hate off the sit of the bed with my mouth hanging open. Sooner or later my sharp claws will tear the bedspread such that I can't perform this trick anymore.

Once in a while I show signs of mellowing. On one or two occasions I've actually snuggled with the owner in bed (I blame the cold weather). However, as soon as he takes notice of my presence in this agreeable posture I quickly run my claws across his hands. This helps destroy any silly notions he might have about me becoming a cuddly, friendly fellow.

The other day I was jumping on my sister Comfy. Normally she runs away and hisses, however, this time she jumped on top of me! I was crushed beneath her Santa-like belly, unable to move! It was like being body slammed by Andre the Giant!

Guess I'll have to find easier targets from now on.
